Blue shadows at my window crawl as night comes sweeping down,

I gaze at the horizon as it stretches over town

I get lost in the distances that roll on like my thoughts

To the places I would travel with my love

And the words in my mind speak of far away, another life

When the love in our eyes was sweet, still felt good to me,

When the tides of emotion bore us on their waves

To some distant shore line that grows fainter day by day.

Darkness and I fly above this town, to the edges of the ocean I am bound,
