One of Tin Pan Alley's great composers was Israel Isidore Belein better known as Irving Berlin, born in the Russian Empire in 1888 - died in New York 1989. His first great success was Alexander's Ragtime Band in 1911 - now a Ukulele Standard!

He composed Musical Shows, Tin Pan Alley Hits, Librettos etc etc Some of his tunes were: Easter Parade, White Christmas, There's no Business Like Show Business" but he composed very many more. George Gershwin said of Berlin that he was the greatest song writer of all time!

This little song was released by Bing Crosby in 1921. Crosby was to sing it with several other leading crooners of the time incl Al Jolson. It would also be covered by Ella Fitzgerald, Teresa Brewer and many others.

This cute arrangement has some special features. It's time to make a start on reading ukulele tablature. This will enable a simple melody line to be woven into the gaps between the chords. Ready; set; GO!!!
